PEERS BOOTCAMPS

PEERS® Small Group Bootcamps are designed to teach evidence-based social skills to teens (13-17 years), young adults (18 – 35 years) and families in a workshop format. Bootcamps are a condensed version of the full PEERS program and focus on a specific set of skills pertaining to one specific social category. Attendees are presented with targeted skills through step-by-step instruction, role-play demonstrations, and have the opportunity to practice the real world skills through behavioural rehearsal exercises. During these behavioural rehearsals, attendees are divided into small breakout groups to practice with direct coaching from our program team. Parents, practitioners and educators are also invited to attend a session (online) in which they are provided with additional instruction on how to coach participants through practice and constructive feedback.

Bootcamps and workshops are facilitated in the school holidays and are based on expressions of interest. Register Now!

MINECRAFT CONFIDENCE AND FRIENDSHIP BUILDING WORKSHOP

What is confidence? It’s knowing who you are and all the amazing things you can do! Just as you mine for blocks in Minecraft, there are ways to “mine” for confidence. We will show you in our 2-day workshop!

The workshop includes fun challenges, puzzles, and fill-in-the-blank adventures to help boost your confidence alongside your favourite Minecraft characters and critters. With every activity you will feel a little happier, stronger, and confident!

Ages: 8-12 years

EXPRESS YOURSELF WORKSHOP

Express, Create, Play, and Move!

Children will have time to explore and play with a variety of tactile and sensory materials (dough, clay, paint, collage, natural materials, ink, water). They will also explore how to create and vary sounds through voice, body percussion and a range of instruments and found materials. Children will be guided to identify feelings and personal responses/reactions, building vocabulary around the senses and emotions. They will be supported to share, engage with and respond to the experiences of others in verbal and non-verbal ways. Children will finish the workshop with a piece of art which they have created to represent themselves and/or their world.

Ages: 6-11 years and 12-17 years
