Our team provides a range of evidence based therapies including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy and Play Therapy. Our goal is to help improve mental health and well-being of individuals experiencing social and emotional difficulties. Intervention targets:

    • Emotional difficulties including anxiety, depression and anger

    • Behavioural Challenges as a result of conduct disorder or Pathological Demand Avoidance

    • Building self awareness, self-understanding and self-compassion. This may involve psychoeducation related to diagnoses and understanding individual profiles.

    • Academic and learning challenges - students are provided with strategies to use in the school environment, and adults in the work place, to assist with communication, planning, organisation, focus and attention.

    • Social skills and relationship challenges (can include group programs and family therapy). Development and support of social and communication skills as well as problem solving and conflict resolution strategies.

  • DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENTS

Assessments for children, teens and adults. Assessment involved an initial consultation, supplemented by a number of questionnaires, structured-interviews and observation scales. These are used to assess an individual’s unique profile across numerous domains – including: learning, behaviour, emotional understanding, theory of mind (perspective taking), communication skills (verbal/non-verbal), social skills, current mood and anxiety, and sensory sensitivities.

    Areas assessed:

    • Learning/Cognitive Assessment using Weschler Scales

    • Behaviour

    • Social and Emotional Understanding

    • Sensory Profile

    • Personality

    • ASD Profile

    • Educational Assessments for learning difficulties including dyslexia, dysgraphia or dyscalculia and giftedness.

Our assessments and reports allow relevant stakeholders to understand an individuals unique profile of abilities across various domains, and provide relevant strategies and recommendations for support.
