Gaming Club: Tech & Social Hub
What is the Gaming Club?
The Gaming Club at our psychology clinic in Mascot, Sydney is not just a club—it’s a community. Designed for autistic children, teens, and young people with ADHD, it’s a tech and social hub where participants connect over shared passions like coding, Minecraft, digital creativity, and gaming. With experienced mentors and psychologists on hand, participants can explore their interests, learn new skills, and—most importantly—enjoy being themselves in a safe and inclusive environment.

What Happens in a Gaming Session?
Each session is about fun, friendship, and creativity. Kids and teens dive into projects they’re excited about—whether that’s building a Minecraft world, coding a mini-game, editing videos, designing graphics, or playing games together.
Mentors—including professional programmers, game developers, and designers—work one-on-one or in small groups, offering guidance, encouragement, and tech know-how at the participant’s pace. This interest-led approach makes the Gaming Club especially beneficial for neurodiverse young people in Sydney who thrive in flexible, strengths-based environments
Why It Matters
The Gaming Club in Mascot is more than a tech program—it’s a safe space to belong. For many autistic and neurodivergent young people, finding peers who share their passions makes all the difference. Here, friendships form naturally, creativity thrives, and every participant can grow in confidence while doing what they love.
Why the Gaming Club is Different
- Interest-led: Young people choose what they want to do each session. No rigid structure—just curiosity and creativity leading the way.
- Social-first: Friendships and confidence often grow even before the tech skills do—and that’s celebrated.
- Safe & Inclusive: A place where autistic and ADHD young people can feel comfortable, be themselves, and connect with peers who “get it.”
- Skill-building: From coding and game design to teamwork and communication, participants pick up both digital and social skills while having fun.
