PEERS® Social Skills Bootcamp Australia Wide – New in 2026!

Neurodiverse Teens

In 2026, The Social Space Psychology Clinic is excited to launch our brand-new PEERS® Social Skills Bootcamp a 3-day, evidence-based social skills workshop designed to help teens and young adults build confidence, strengthen friendships, and thrive socially.
Participants will learn practical skills through step-by-step instruction, role-plays, video modelling, interactive activities and guided practice with our trained PEERS® facilitators.
Families also have the option to attend the Dating Etiquette Workshop the following for young people wanting support with navigating dating and relationships safely and respectfully.
Across the bootcamp, participants will learn core PEERS®.

Skills Covered

Conversation & Friendship Skills

  • Trading information and finding common interests
  • Having two-way conversations
  • Entering and exiting conversations
  • Choosing appropriate friends
  • Organising get-togethers

Communication Style

  • Using humour appropriately
  • Respectful electronic communication
  • Practising good sportsmanship

Handling Challenges

  • Responding to teasing or embarrassing feedback
  • Dealing with bullying and negative reputations
  • Handling disagreements
  • Managing rumours and gossip

Dating Etiquette (Optional Extra Day)

  • Letting someone know you like them

  • Dating do’s and don’ts

To support families, we also offer a separate 2-hour Parent/Social Coach Sessions held 6:00–8:00pm via telehealth, giving parents and carers the tools to coach, reinforce, and support their young person’s skills at home.
