Diagnostic Assessments

Providing Clarity, Support and Direction

At The Social Space Psychology Clinic, our diagnostic assessments are designed to provide clarity and a deeper understanding of each individual’s strengths, differences, and developmental profile. Our psychologists assess for Autism, ADHD, and a range of social, emotional, and behavioural presentations in a structured and supportive environment.

The assessment process may include clinical interviews, standardised measures, and behavioural observations. Following this, a comprehensive report is provided, with clear, individualised recommendations to guide support across home, school, work, and everyday life.

Who This Is For

Diagnostic assessments are suitable for children, adolescents, and adults who may be experiencing developmental, behavioural, or learning differences. Assessments can support formal diagnosis, provide a clearer understanding of strengths and areas of difference, guide recommendations for school or workplace adjustments, and inform ongoing care.

Our Approach to Assessment

Our approach is thoughtful, evidence-informed, and strengths-based, with a focus on understanding the whole individual beyond presenting concerns. We take a neurodiversity-affirming perspective, recognising each person’s unique profile of strengths and differences. The process begins with a comprehensive diagnostic interview to understand developmental history, current concerns, and individual context. This guides a tailored assessment plan, including the selection of appropriate standardised measures, behavioural observations, and any additional components required to explore diagnostic considerations. Following the assessment, we provide clear feedback and a detailed report, including practical, individualised recommendations to support home, school, work, and everyday life. Our team will guide you through each step of the process, ensuring it feels clear, supportive, and easy to navigate.
